New exhibition ‘Paint’ by artist Jacob van der Veen will be open from 1 until 30 september 2024 in Portiersloge Groningen.
About the work of Jacob van der veen
”Much of Jacob van der Veen’s work consists of residues of painting processes: large canvases taken from stretcher bars, which are presented in a way other than as paintings, prints on paper of paintings on linen, etc. In the Gatekeepers Lodge, minimalist compositions of (almost) empty oil paint tubes are shown. The work refers to both the ‘Arte Povera’ and ‘Zero’.
